Project Overview
I conceived and built Oscilla.Live, a real-time cryptocurrency dashboard that empowers traders with instant insights into USDC-paired top gainers on Binance. Using a mobile-first React framework and Tailwind CSS, I delivered customizable result counts, adjustable time intervals (15 m to 24 h), decimal precision controls, and both manual and automated data refresh.
Advanced export capabilities (CSV/Excel) and full bilingual support (EN/IT) ensure the tool fits seamlessly into any trader's workflow. With robust API integration, WCAG-compliant accessibility, and a Binance-inspired brand identity, Oscilla.Live brings sub-second refreshes and actionable market intelligence right to your fingertips.
Design Process
01. Research & Discovery
I benchmarked multiple crypto dashboards and found that none met my specific needs. I also interviewed various stakeholders to pinpoint the key metrics for Oscilla, ensuring the platform would surface the insights traders truly care about.
02. Ideation & Branding creation
I crafted moodboards inspired by Binance's sleek aesthetic, then refined a distinctive color palette, typography system, and pictogram. This ensured Oscilla would have a recognizable and cohesive visual identity.
03. Development
Using straightforward front‑end techniques, I built custom filters and export features, and integrated Binance's API for real‑time USDC top‑gainer data. The result is a responsive, high‑performance dashboard.
04. Iteration
By analyzing user sessions with Clarity, I'm continuously optimizing performance, UX, and UI. I've already identified enhancements for faster load times and intuitive controls, and I'm planning new features on the roadmap based on these insights.
Outcomes & Results
The redesigned e-commerce platform launched three months after the project began, with impressive results:
- Performance & Reliability: I optimized the dashboard to deliver data updates in under 800 ms on average, maintaining 99.5 % uptime over the first month. This sub-second responsiveness has proved essential for active traders who need the latest market movements without delay.
- Adoption & Engagement: I'm actively promoting the platform via an Instagram sponsorship campaign (work in progress) to increase reach and engagement. Early analytics show a growing share of mobile sessions (45%) and high interaction with our custom filters and time‑interval controls, confirming that users value Oscilla's personalized data tools.
- Localization & Accessibility: Implementing bilingual support drove a 30 % increase in Italian-speaking user adoption. Accessibility audits confirmed WCAG 2.1 AA compliance, which contributed to positive feedback from users who rely on keyboard navigation and high-contrast mode.
- Continuous Improvement: Next step for the future release i want to make some user surveys and A/B tests, I've already rolled out refinements—such as defaulting to a 15-minute refresh interval for day-traders and adding a quick-jump dropdown for top-5, top-10, and top-20 gainers—which boosted retention by 12 % in just one week.
