I conceived and built Oscilla.Live, a comprehensive cryptocurrency dashboard that empowers traders with instant insights into USDC-paired top gainers on Binance.

Using a mobile-first React framework and Tailwind CSS, I delivered customizable result counts, adjustable time intervals (15m to 24h), decimal precision controls, and both manual and automated data refresh.

Advanced export capabilities (CSV/Excel) and full bilingual support (EN/IT) ensure the tool fits seamlessly into any trader's workflow. With robust API integration, WCAG-compliant accessibility, and a Binance-inspired brand identity, Oscilla.Live brings sub-second refreshes and actionable market intelligence right to your fingertips.

From Research to Reality

A comprehensive design process that put users at the center of every decision, from initial research to final implementation.

Research & Discovery

I conducted comprehensive market research by analyzing over 15 existing cryptocurrency dashboards, including CoinMarketCap, TradingView, and Binance's native tools. Through competitive analysis, I identified critical gaps: most platforms focused on general market data rather than USDC-specific gainers, lacked customizable time intervals, and provided limited export functionality.

I interviewed 8 active traders and crypto enthusiasts to understand their daily workflows and pain points. Key insights revealed that traders needed: real-time USDC pair monitoring, flexible time frame controls (15 minutes to 24 hours), precise decimal settings for different trading strategies, and seamless data export for portfolio tracking.

Ideation & Branding Creation

I developed a comprehensive brand identity system inspired by Binance's professional aesthetic while creating a unique visual language for Oscilla. The design process involved creating multiple moodboards exploring different visual directions, from minimalist data-focused layouts to more dynamic, trading-floor-inspired interfaces.

The final brand system features a sophisticated color palette built around deep blues and electric yellows, symbolizing trust and energy in the crypto space. I designed a custom typography hierarchy using Inter font family for optimal readability across devices, and created a distinctive logo mark that combines the concept of oscillation (market movement) with live data visualization.

I architected and developed Oscilla using React with TypeScript for type safety and maintainability, implementing a mobile-first responsive design with Tailwind CSS. The technical implementation focused on performance optimization, with custom hooks for real-time data management and efficient state handling to ensure sub-second data updates.

Key technical achievements include: seamless integration with Binance's REST API for live USDC pair data, custom-built filtering algorithms for customizable result counts (5-50 items), dynamic time interval controls (15m, 1h, 4h, 24h), and precision decimal controls for different trading strategies.

Iteration

I implemented a comprehensive analytics strategy using Microsoft Clarity to track user behavior, performance metrics, and feature adoption. Through detailed session recordings and heatmap analysis, I identified key optimization opportunities: users were struggling with the initial time interval selection, mobile users needed better touch targets, and the export functionality required more prominent placement.

Based on these insights, I've already implemented several improvements: optimized default settings (15-minute intervals for day traders), enhanced mobile responsiveness with larger touch targets, and streamlined export workflows. I'm currently planning A/B tests for new features including price alerts, portfolio integration, and advanced filtering options.
