Project Overview

During my tenure at HCL Technologies, I led the design and development of several enterprise solutions focused on digital transformation. These projects encompassed a wide range of applications, from internal tools to client-facing platforms, all aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing user experience.

Key Projects

01. Self Service Catalog

Launch workflows—no IT needed

2020 Mobile first Business User

The Self-Service Catalog is a unified, user-friendly portal—accessible via web or mobile—that lets non-technical users launch, approve and track predefined automation workflows without IT intervention.

Administrators publish services once, defining inputs, approval steps and monitoring hooks; end users simply select a service, fill out a guided form and hit "Run." Built-in dashboards show real-time status, history and outcomes, while dynamic forms and approval workflows ensure every request is complete and compliant.

By putting automation at users' fingertips, the catalog slashes IT ticket volume, accelerates service delivery, boosts transparency and guarantees consistent, reliable execution every time.

02. Orchestration Monitor

Monitor workflows and jobs live

2021-2022 Data visualization New visual

Orchestration Monitor deliver end-to-end visibility and control over both real-time workflows and batch jobs.

Granular status panels let you rerun or intervene in failed steps, while native OpenTelemetry logs, REST/CLI metrics APIs, and customizable dashboards feed tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Splunk for anomaly detection and proactive alerts.

As the designer on this initiative, I refreshed outdated UI patterns and applied an aesthetic "wash" that sharpens information hierarchy, boosts readability, and gives the monitoring experience a clean, modern feel.

03. Graphical Designer

Drag-and-drop orchestration with AI

2022-2024 Graphical approach

The new drag-and-drop Graphical Designer in UnO streamlines workflow creation with an intuitive canvas, AI-powered text-to-workflow generation, and embedded tasks for a clutter-free workspace. Key highlights:

  • Easy Orchestration: Build and manage complex flows with simple drag-and-drop.
  • AI Integration: "AI Pilot" turns text prompts into fully formed workflows.
  • Embedded Tasks: No more single-use templates—keep your canvas tidy.
  • Automatic Scripting: Postscript support runs commands based on task outcomes.
  • Advanced File Control: Schedule and monitor multiple folders with File Events & File Monitor.

Comprehensive design—ideation to delivery

2019-2025 Research Design system

I ensure design excellence and stakeholder alignment through a comprehensive suite of activities. First, I create precise redlines for every deliverable—defining spacing, typography, color specifications, and interaction behaviors—to guarantee a pixel-perfect handoff and preserve design integrity throughout development. I then validate these concepts directly with users via one-on-one interviews and contextual inquiries, gathering rich qualitative insights into their needs, pain points, and mental models.

To complement this, I deploy targeted surveys that quantify user preferences and behaviors at scale, helping to prioritize features and uncover new opportunities.

Throughout the process, I craft compelling, storyboard-driven presentations that distill research findings, design rationale, and roadmap plans into clear, persuasive narratives, securing stakeholder buy-in at each milestone.

Parallel to this, I build and maintain a robust design system—complete with reusable components, style tokens, and usage guidelines—that enforces brand consistency, accelerates delivery, and scales across teams. Finally, I bring user flows and wireframes to life through polished visual designs, leveraging thoughtful color palettes, imagery, and motion to create interfaces that delight users and reinforce the brand's identity.
